Responsible
I’ve needed to write, REALLY WRITE, for a long time now, but for a variety of reasons haven’t found myself able to. There’s always the fear that feelings become more real once expressed, and in my desire to push my feelings aside and just, you know, get on with it, facing not only how I’m feeling but why is not entirely high on my priority list. At least, it hadn’t been until recently.

Paula Vogel leaving Brown for Yale →
The playwriting workshop I took in her department freshman year was perhaps one of my top three Brown experiences. I got to write scenes about my hall mates playing video games (and not including me) and “falling in love” for the first time; and a final play based on a game of hopscotch…
She did an awesome job at Brown. I know she’ll rock Yale’s socks off!
Honk-who? Honku.
I just got introduced to Aaron Naparstek’s Honkus, haikus inspired by the incessant honking he used to hear beneath his apartment window.

Not my Greenspan!
“During the first years of the new century, Greenspan lowered the fed funds rate to 1 percent, which was exceptionally low. Low rates were partly an attempt to revive the economy after the dot-com fiasco. In an illustration of how one bubble seems to beget another, however, the Greenspan rate cut greatly stimulated the housing industry. In particular, since adjustable-rate mortgages are...
The Fed
This New York Times Sunday Magazine article just keeps the hits of valuable information coming.
About the Federal Reserve Bank’s real power:
“…the public has high expectations for what the Fed can do. Actually, it has very little influence over most of what makes the economy tick, like improvements in productivity, educational levels or whether commodity prices are trending...

Bikram
I’ve decided that when my David Barton membership ends, I’m going to start doing yoga. I’ve been with the place for two years now and it just doesn’t seem to have done anything. Granted, there have been lapses in my regular attendance, but it’s just not right that after almost 24 months I still don’t feel comfortable going to the weight room!
It’s time...

There’s one right here in New York on 2nd Avenue…now if people only knew what to do with it/what it was for.
